Open Proposal by Rosemary Gunn

Hi, all.
I have a very special guest today, Rosemary Gunn. I had the honor of reading Open Proposal in its infancy, and it’s a fun, sexy wonderful erotic romance. Now Rosemary is working today so I’m not sure when she’ll be able to pop in, but I’m leaving her blog up all week for you to enjoy. Congratulations on the release, Rosemary, and many happy sales!!!
Jasmine
PS I love that Rosemary calls me Jas!

And Rosemary speaks!

Good morning! Before sharing my story, let me say a huge thank you to my wonderful friend for inviting me to participate in my first guest blog: Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Jas, you’re the best!

Now, on to the reason I’m blogging here today: the release of my very first book!! Open Proposal is available today at http://www.liquidsilverbooks.com/rbooks.com/! Isn’t that cover amazing? Thanks to April Martinez for creating such a memorable work of art to illustrate the three characters of this story. All that luscious flesh…mmm, yumma!

Here’s the thing. Like many others, I’ve been writing a long time. Unfortunately, most of the stories never actually made it to The End. Last year my best friend said, “I don’t think you’re ever going to finish writing something that I can read.” That’s right. My best friend had issued a challenge. What else could I do? I stepped up and met that challenge. Less than three weeks later, the first draft of Open Proposal was in her hands.

The funny thing is, when I first started writing it, there weren’t three people involved. It was simply going to be the story of a woman (Samantha) deciding to have a hot affair with a male colleague…sort of a wham-bam thing. Then Eve knocked on the door, and the entire story changed. That’s usually how it works. I fell in love with all three of these beautiful people and certainly hope you will, too.

This is the back cover blurb. It’s an eBook though, so technically there isn’t a back cover:

Samantha and Eve have it all: a beautiful home, successful careers, and a loving relationship. When the use of a sex toy brings Sam's latent desires to the forefront, the women decide to find someone who can give Sam the one thing that Eve cannot.

Roman--Eve’s best friend from childhood--is surprised by their unusual request, but agrees to play anyway. Eve has always been able to count on Roman to be there when she needed him.

What she hadn’t counted on were her own feelings regarding him. Will an open proposal mark the end of a friendship or the beginning of something more than any of them could have anticipated?

Looking forward to chatting with everyone today and will be popping in and out. Be sure to check out my website http://www.rosemarygunn.com/ and also become a follower on my blog http://rosemarygunn.blogspot.com/

Congrats on the release of your first book!
How did you decide on a genre to write?

Rosemary Gunn said...

Thank you, Estella! I've always liked the hot, super sexy reads. I didn't realize that's what I was supposed to be writing until a light-hearted romance took a turn into the very dark and highly erotic realm. I knew at that moment there was no turning back.

Rosemary, I'm so excited for you. And I totally agree with Armenia, very hot cover. All hands and feet accounted for!

Armenia (and Jas), you are SO right about that cover! There is a lot going on and it definitely makes you take a second (third and fourth!) look...

It still gets me when I look at it!

Jennifer Skully/Jasmine Haynes said...

The cover definitely lets you know what the book is about. That's very important. People should know what they're getting just by looking at the cover, it should intrigue enough to get them to read the blurb. And this cover certainly deserves that second, third and fourth glance!

Congrats Rosemary! Take a moment, sit back and enjoy the success. Then back to writing or I'll issue another challenge!

Jennifer Skully/Jasmine Haynes said...

Oh my God! Is this the infamous Carrie?!?!

Rosemary Gunn said...

Carr!! So glad you stopped by!

LOL!! As for issuing another challenge...you will, too! You're probably thinking about it already. [grin] You know me for the procrastinator that I am though...so keep them coming. They obviously work!
